Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to the daily activities of the shelter.
Whether you want to make an ongoing weekly or monthly commitment to helping out at the shelter, big and small, one-time and ongoing tasks are always needed!
**For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age - 16-17 year olds must be accompanied at all times with an adult.**
Are you a business or organization interested in providing
a Day of Giving at the shelter?
Depending on your time and interests
We can match you up with a task that fits your needs and ours.
Like to work outside or have lots of energy? We can set you up with groundskeeping, building and trail projects, painting, or dog walking.
Prefer slightly less physical work indoors? We can set you up with cat cuddling, pet grooming, washing dishes, organizing, or laundry duties.
Shelter Helpers or Facility Volunteers
Assist with keeping the shelter and its grounds clean and presentable for the public. Some of these tasks include:

Dog Walkers/Kennel Volunteers

- Playing with dogs indoors or in outdoor playpen (18+)
- Giving dogs stuffed Kongs, lick mats, and/or treats
- Spraying scent sprays in dog adoption and intake rooms

Training is provided for proper handling and enrichment skills
