Thanks to all of our fabulous chefs!
Alex Gill
I am originally from Elmira, NY but now live in Watkins Glen with my wife, Kelsey, dog, Calvin, and 3 cats, Max, Newt, and Flora. Both Calvin and Flora came from the Chemung County Humane Society!
I am an Engineer for Corning, Inc. but spend my free time as the lead singer of The Variables and GillMuir Girls. I am also an active member of the Lake Country Players and recently starred as the Cat in the Hat in their production of Suessical.
Despite all of my extracurricular activities, the pets are the real celebrities. In 2020, Kelsey and I started a TikTok channel, “Pet of the Week”, featuring our 3 pets (at the time). Since then, our channel has grown to over 90 thousand subscribers, with over 10 million views! We also expanded our fur family, adding Flora in 2022. We have been fortunate enough to be able to make donations to the respective shelters each of our pets came from as a result of the channel’s success.
I am so grateful to be one of the celebrity chefs for this event this year!

I’m the doggy daddy to Charlie Babich (12) and Dottie Doolittle (5). Both amazing dogs are rescues and have stolen my heart. The love and care of these two is shared and enjoyed by our entire family,my wife, Kit, and our 2 boys, Mitchum and Bryce.
My wife and I are the proprietors of Lighthouse Liquors & Wines of Southport, LLC. We are celebrating our 20th year in business. Six years ago, we became the proprietors of Bulkhead Hardware where we have continued the tradition of an “Old Fashioned” hardware store experience. Both businesses are in Southport, New York.
Over the last several years I have discovered how much I enjoy cooking. I now make several of the meals each week for my family. When I’m in the kitchen prepping meals, music is in the background, perhaps with a glass of wine, and you can be assured that Charlie and Dottie are there with me, patiently waiting for samples of Dad’s culinary feats.

I have been with the Chemung County SPCA, taking on a number of different roles, over the past 13 years. In my current role, I am responsible for developing affordable care programs for the people and pets in our region.
In my spare time, and when I’m not experimenting with different recipes and cooking techniques or hanging out with my pup, Brandy, I spend time exploring my interests in writing, music, and fishing.

I am a lifelong native of Elmra. After graduating from Elmira Free Academy, my interest in cooking led me to the Connecticut Culinary Institute. I spent several years working in the restaurant field, both in Connecticut and Elmira, before making the change to work with my family in their plumbing and heating business.
When I am not working, I spend time with my wife, Kaitlin, our two sons, Ben and Otis, and dogs, Fred and Stanley.
I love spending time outdoors, whether it is camping, boating on the lake, or just playing in the backyard with our boys.
I love to try new culinary creations and am currently the reigning champ of my family's BBQ rib cook-off (although my father is still challenging the results!).

Born and raised in the Elmira/Corning area, I am a proud mother and a dedicated homemaker who spends my days caring for my family and spoiling my loved ones. My passion for bringing people together is evident from my knack for hosting events and my enthusiasm for event planning.
My love for my community extends to my volunteer work, especially when it involves a good celebration.
I am a proud pet parent to Toby, a rescue dog who joined the family in 2014 and has since become the household’s biggest food enthusiast.
No stranger to the kitchen, I have years of experience in baking, specializing in custom cakes and cupcakes. My home has become the go-to place for most family holidays, where I delight in serving my loved ones.
My love for making people happy and supporting local causes is at the heart of my participation in the SPCA charity event. I look forward to pleasing everyone through their stomachs and contributing to a cause close to my heart.
Dr. Richard Terry
I am a Family Physician and the Dean of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) at Elmira. My journey in medicine is marked by a deep-seeded dedication to community health and education. Beyond my professional accomplishments, my life is richly woven with personal interests and family ties.
Born and raised on a farm in the Catskills, I grew up surrounded by animals including chickens, ponies, sheep, dogs, and cats. Today, I share my home with two beloved pets. The household's rescue pug, fittingly named Mr. Puggles, is known for his lovable demeanor and constant desire for affection. Accompanying Mr. Puggles is the mischievous cat, Priscilla, whose favorite pastime is sleeping, though she's known to stir at 3 am, eagerly awaiting to be fed.
I am married to Maria Terry, a dedicated board member of the SPCA, and we have 5 children ranging in age from 13 to 33. Their shared passion for animal welfare reflects in their compassionate care for their pets and involvement in animal advocacy.

My career has been all over the map from sales, property management, construction/development, and restaurant ownership.
I currently co-own and manage the Ill Eagle Taphouse and event center.
In my free time I enjoy all types of outdoor activities and spending time with family.
