January Brings a Second Chance for Homeless Animals at the Chemung County SPCA

1/4/2010 12:00:00 AM

The New Year brings fresh resolutions and the prospect of new beginnings. This January, it also brings a second chance for some very special shelter animals at the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA. January only, the Chemung County SPCA is running the  "New Year, Second Chance" promotion which will offer a 25 percent discount on all animals that came to the shelter because their owners couldn't keep them. These animals are called owner surrendered animals.

Owner surrendered animals have already been in homes. They are loving, affectionate animals who are just looking for a second chance this January. What better way to start off 2010 than with a new addition to your family?

Dogs are usually adoptable for $125 and cats are usually adoptable for $80. This includes a spay/neuter deposit, microchip, shots, vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance with qualifying criteria. During January, eligible dogs will be $93.75 and eligible cats will be only $60.
